Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concert: Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra
For 100 years, the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra has been the foremost orchestra in Africa from the inaugural concert of the Cape Town Municipal Orchestra in February, 1914. The most active orchestra in the country, the CPO is extremely versatile, performing symphony concerts at the highest level with internationally acclaimed conductors and soloists and exceptional South African artists. This year’s programme will include Rossini “William Tell Overture”, Dvorak “Slavonic Dance No 10”, Beethoven “Symphony No 5” and Rodrigo “Guitar concerto (de Aranjuez)” –which will feature the incredible James Grace on guitar.
Gates to the concert area open at 16h00.
