Restaurant at Free State NBG

The newly opened restaurant at Free State Garden offers a a variety of traditional and modern food. The restaurant is situated below the mountain inside the Botanical Garden on the edge of the dam. It is operated independently from SANBI. Please contact the restaurant directly for bookings or enquiries.

Feast your eyes on the picturesque scenery with a lake, bird outlook point and hills, while enjoying a scrumptious meal at the River Lily Restaurant. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and buffet are served at the River Lily Restaurant. Billy and Anna will cater for your wedding, party, special meeting or any other private function. 

Guests who make use of the Lapa in the Garden are also welcome to contact the River Lily Restaurant for quotations on catering and decor hire.

Wed-Thurs: 11h00 to 17h00
Fri- Sun: 11h00 to 20h00

Note: The restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday, unless pre-booked for a function.
