This garden is full of plants used by people. It's divided into sections, where you can find plants used for such diverse purposes as headaches, beverages, snakebite, crafts, charms, food, medicine and several other categories. Over a thousand different plants are used in the Zulu culture for medicine alone.

Many of these plants are becoming threatened because of over-harvesting from their wild populations. This exciting garden aims to broaden public awareness of the importance and value of our useful plants.
