KZN National Botanical Garden commemorates 2017 Mandela Day

05 July 2017

South African National Biodiversity’s KwaZulu-Natal National Botanical Garden invites locals to visit the garden free of charge. All we ask is that visitors bring sanitary pads or toiletries and deposit them in the bins that will be provided at the entrance.

The toiletry donations will be taken to an orphanage or given to a disadvantaged school to celebrate Mandela Day.

kzn nbgThe significance of this day is to offer garden visitors an opportunity to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of our garden. We will be also opening our newly revamped play area and have fun stuff for kids to enjoy as well, with face painting, games and raffle tickets for awesome prizes to be won.

Some of the games will require a small donation to partake in. Families are encouraged to come and enjoy the garden in remembrance of Tata Madiba.
