About SANBI Publications and Bookshop

Publications
SANBI publishes both popular and scientific books on the plants of southern Africa and related topics and maps. In addition to books, SANBI publishes series e.g. Bothalia, Flowering Plants of Africa, Flora of southern Africa and Strelitzia. Strelitzia is a series of monographs which replaces Annals of Kirstenbosch and Memoirs of the Botanical Survey. We also sell publications from other sources.

Prices for customers in SADC countries differ from prices for customers in other foreign countries.

Bookshop
The SANBI Bookshop operates from the National Herbarium Building in the Pretoria National Botanical Garden . It offers a wide variety of publications, scientific and popular, in botany and related fields. The Bookshop is open to the public during normal office hours (08:00-16:00), Monday to Friday, and also handles mail orders. Contact details are:

The Bookshop at the Visitors' Centre at Kirstenbosch is run by the Botanical Society, not SANBI.
