Capacity DevelopmentTeacher Professional Development Workshops linked to Biodiversity Careers

This programme is focused on offering educators, educators in training and education officials workshops on careers.

Educators are informed about 4 streams (Science, Business, Arts and Social Sciences) which are linked to Biodiversity careers and Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement. FSNBG works closely with the Department of Education Programme co-ordinators in arranging these workshops for teachers and subject advisors.

Assistant Education Officers

Training is also provided for young school leavers, they are trained to become Assistant Education Officers in the education centre to facilitate environmental programmes for schools. There is a high demand for Assistant Education Officers when schools visit the garden for lessons with large numbers. These trainees are hired on an ad-hoc basis and only work when there are school bookings.
