KZN NBG Biodiversity Education & Empowerment Programme
The Biodiversity Education and Empowerment Programme started in April 2009 at the KwaZulu-Natal National Botanical Garden in Mayor’s Walk, Pietermaritzburg.
The education centre is located at the western end of the Garden and occupies the prefab buildings that were previously used by the provincial Department of Education.
In the short period since its inception, the programme has grown tremendously not only in the number of beneficiaries reached but also in the range of programmes being offered.
The following programmes are offered:
• KZN Biodiversity Education
• KZN Capacity development programme
• KZN Awareness raising initiatives
• KZN Stakeholder Engagement
