OLD MUTUAL ENCOUNTERS

The Old Mutual Encounters Series is a celebration of the success of partnership. We pick artists from markedly different genres, and get them to collaborate ... to create a special, once-in-a-lifetime
performance for the Kirstenbosch stage. Each performance is an adventure, and shows us how a little investment can go a long way to creating something extraordinary.

INFORMATION

Tickets to all Old Mutual Summer Sunset Concerts will be on sale on the Friday and Saturday preceding each concert from the Kirstenbosch Visitors’ Centre Ticket Kiosk only. On Sundays concert tickets will be available at all the entrances.

Telephonic bookings (021 761 2866) can also be made on the Friday and Saturday before each concert. An administration fee of R10 per ticket is applicable for telephonic bookings.

Garden visitors who arrive early on Sundays and wish to attend the concert later in the day should purchase a concert ticket which will include the garden entry fee. Please retain your concert ticket to gain entry to the concert area.

Concert tickets will be limited, but garden entry tickets will still be available if the concert venue is sold out. This will enable visitors to picnic on the lawns outside of the cordoned-off concert area.

You are welcome to linger after the concert but please leave the Garden by 20:00. Remember to take your litter home with you. The concert area is bin-free.

Refreshments will be on sale at all the concerts. Picnic hampers can be ordered from the Silvertree Restaurant (021 762 9585) or the Kirstenbosch Tea Room (021 797 4883).
Comfortable low concert chairs are available from The Kirstenbosch Garden Centre (021 797 1305)

Special parking is available for the physically disabled - enter the garden at the Rycroft Gate (Top Gate) and proceed to the workshop area off Camphor Avenue for parking.

Please note that no dogs or ball games are allowed in the Garden. Please keep children out of the flower beds and off the stage. Please do not smoke in the audience or sit on deckchairs that obstruct the view of the stage for others.

There will be a Kids' Zone next to the Silvertree Restaurant with entertainment for your kids during the concerts. The Kids' Zone will be hosted by Oxygen Medical Scheme from Old Mutual. This area will provide supervised activities for children to participate in and is not a child-minding service.
