GENERAL GARDEN TOURS

General guided tours of the Botanical Garden can be arranged for groups. Normal entrance fees per person are payable as well as a guide fee for the group (with a maximum of 20 people per guide). The guide fees vary as follows: Weekdays - R170, Saturdays - R225 and Sundays - R300. Telephone (011) 958-1750 to make a booking or for further information.

ART IN THE GARDEN

Come along and browse a wide range of artwork available for sale in a
stunning outdoor setting. A percentage of sales go to the Botanical
Society's Garden Development Fund. Art in the Garden takes place on the last Sunday of each month and on selected concert dates.

Kgaswane Veld Appreciation Walk
19 Sat April

Booking essential as numbers are limited

Guide, Leslie Youldon will take us on this walk through the Kgaswane mountain reserve, explaining the ecology and interesting facts about the area.

Members R50, non-members R65. Children half price. R10 per car.
Wear walking shoes and bring a hat, a water bottle and a picnic basket.
Braai facilities available.

Meet at the venue at 08h45.

 

Snakes
26 April
Booking essential as numbers are limited

Gavin Wilson, the “snake man” of Gauteng will do a slide show and demonstration with live snakes. Gavin will also give tips on how to treat snake bites and how to handle and emergency situation. Members R30, non-members R45. Children half price.

Meet at the Nestlé Environmental Education Centre at the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden.

The Garden would like to notify you of the impending fee increase. The increase will be applicable to both the normal entrance fee and the fee for special events. The revised increase will be implemented as from the 1st April 2008.
