GENERAL GARDEN GUIDED TOURS OF 2008
General guided tours of the Botanical Garden can be arranged for groups. Normal entrance fees per person as well as a guide fee for the group are payable (a maximum of 20 people per guide) Normal fee per person: R12.00. Guide fee per group: R50.00. There are basic principles of water – wise gardening are simple and easy to implement. Come and get some tips for your garden. By Leanne Wels

Walking trails. 13 September. Time: 10:00
Just 10 km out of Bloemfontein, in the heart of the Free State National Botanical Garden, are two beautiful walking trails. Come and find out more about the rock wall build during the Anglo – Boer War and about the Basotho Iron Age site along these trails. By Stemmer Ngalo

Exploring indigenous. 11 October. Time: 10:00
The natural vegetation comprises tall Grassland, Woodland and outlier community of Karoo plants, can best be seen by walking these scenic nature trails overlooking the Garden. By Peter Gavhi

Indigenous Garden for birds. 8 November. Time: 10:00
Birds spend much of their time flying around searching for food, especially when they have chicks to cater for; they tend to live where their needs are best met. Get peace of mind, walk through the Garden and listen to the sweat melodies of a variety of bird species. By David Rambuwani
