It’s time to become egg-cited at our annual Easter egg celebration. Bring a picnic blanket, camp chairs, food, and drinks to spend the night in our beautiful garden with your family. There will be an Easter egg hunt for children aged ten and under, followed by a movie. This is a unique opportunity to experience nature while also watching a movie. The film will be family friendly.

Gold Fields Environmental Education Centre will be hosting “Create a Creature” Waste art workshop for children aged 6 -12 years on Thursday, 3 April 2025 from 09h00 – 13h00. Children will enjoy an exploratory walk into Kirstenbosch Garden, searching for and observing creatures in the forest, fynbos, and rivers.
On their return to the Education Centre they will use their imagination and common household waste to create a model of a creature they saw in the garden.

Plants for the collector and for the novice will be available. Most succulents are indigenous to South Africa and can be proudly displayed in rockeries and water wise gardens. Other plants suitable for hanging baskets and bonsai plants as well garden accessories will also be on sale.
