Through Environmental Education Centres located in the National Botanical Gardens, skills development, education and awareness programmes are facilitated with schools and communities to increase knowledge about biodiversity. SANBI also hosts students and interns under its various work programme as a means to grow capacity in the biodiversity sector in South Africa
