This area is at its dazzling best from mid-July until October, when the colourful annuals and vygies are in full flower. Their brilliant colours, set against the dramatic backdrop of the nearby shale hills, make for ideal photographic opportunities.
This section includes the Braille trail and the Kokerboom Restaurant.
The lawns provide a pleasant spot for families or friends to relax, have a picnic and find shade on hot summer days. From here one can also take in the lovely mountain vistas towards the northwest. The lawn area is ideal for functions to celebrate special occasions such as Valentine’s Day, Mothers’ Day and weddings.
Please note that there are no braai/barbeque facilities and fire or gas stoves are not allowed in the Garden.
