Lush trees, viewed through the thatched main entrance gateway, invite visitors to the Lowveld National Botanical Garden. The Garden is situated off the R40 White River road, behind the Junction Shopping and Ford complexes.

The entrance isles are beautifully landscaped with barleria, plectranthus, aloes, euphorbia, bulbine and interesting rocks. “Welcome to Africa’s best kept secret”, the lush green lawns say.

If famished from a long journey, then proceed to the Visitors’ Centre (to the left) where Tindlovu Restaurant serves scrumptious meals that will satisfy any hunger. Entrance 1 is also situated here and gives visitors quick access to spectacular views of the Crocodile River, Cascades Waterfall and the Garden’s wonderful geological formations.

Turning right will take you to Entrance 2 which leads to what is considered the main part of the Garden.
