Location type
This lovely outdoor entertainment area is nestled in a woodland with a spacious private lawn area. It has a thatched lapa with a tiled floor. It is accessible from the western side of the parking area.
It can accommodate 20 people undercover, and up to 100 people if the garden is utilised. Toilet facilities at the adjacent Nestle Environmental Education Centre are available for clients to use.
There is enough space for gazebos and marquee/stretch tents, also jumping castles for kiddies’ parties provided a quiet generator is used.
No music or PA system is allowed.

The Garden is a Bin Free zone, please take your refuse home and recycle it.
Wood is not provided. Only charcoal may be used. This is to protect our trees from pests and diseases which may be brought in with raw wood.

Tables and chairs
Client to provide, no pallets or any other raw wood structures are permitted. Linens, drapes, crockery, cutlery, glasses etc. are not provided.

Access to garden
Guests wishing to enter the Main Garden will be given a discounted rate of R40 per adult/ pensioner.
The other categories remain the same:
- Students with valid student cards: R40
- Scholars: R20
- Children under 6 yrs: Free
- BOTSOC members: Free
- Tuesdays are free for pensioners
Entrance fees may differ on events days.
Fees to be prepaid and a guest list provided for entry into the Main Garden, a minimum of 3 days prior to date of event.
- Setup from 8.00 on day of event
- Clear-up to be completed by Garden closing time
Fee structure
- Flat rate R2 500 per day.
- Booking is secured only upon receipt of hiring fee, a minimum of 3 days prior to date of event.
- Failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation.
- Venue hire contract and terms & conditions apply.
