At the heart of the Garden is the Succulent Rockery. It is planted with weird and wonderful plants from South Africa’s incredible succulent wealth.
The glorious winter-time floral display is a favourite with birds feeding on the bounty of nectar produced by many aloe species. It is a perfect place to sit on a sunny bench in the crisp and clear Highveld winter and enjoy the activities of the birds and insects such as butterflies, bees and beetles.
Natural stone cobble-paths link the various rock garden displays. Parts of the Rockery are accessible by wheel chair but there are steps in some sections.
