Come to Kirstenbosch during the March school holiday and enjoy a morning of exploration and saving the world!
During the March 2019 school holiday, the Gold Fields Environmental Education Centre staff will be presenting a 4 hour programme where children of about 10-12 years of age will wil learn about the creatures that live in the garden and the impact waste is having on our biodiversity.
After an introduction to biodiversity, the learners will enjoy a walk of approximately one hour in Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden. When they return to the Education Centre they will engage, for approximately 2 hours, in a fun, hands-on workshop, where they will create a model of a creature out of common household waste.
