A much-loved favourite among all orchestral aficionados, The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra never disappoints. This year, Brandon Phillips takes the baton, with soloists Gabriella von Durkheim on flute, Peter Martens on cello and Jordan Brooks on violin. Sets include Berlioz Roman Carnival, Doppler Hungarian Pastoral Fantasy (flute), Tchaikovsky Romeo and Julieta Overture Fantasia, Saint Saens “Swan” and Allegro Appassionato (cello) and Mendelssohn Symphony No 4 “Italian” Monti Chardas (violin). All best enjoyed sipping on a crisp ‘n cold Chardonnay under a sun-kissed sky.
