Enhancing flower floral diversity (e.g. via the creation of floral diversity compensation areas, FDCAs) within large farms can increase pollinator-dependent crop production, if combined with preservation of the remaining fragments of natural habitat and judicious use of insecticides. The creation of FDCAs represents a profitable pollinator-friendly management measure for farmers, enhancing farm production whilst maintaining the surrounding natural areas.
