The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) requires an enthusiastic, dedicated, professional and responsible person to support the Corporate Services Division in managing administrative processes.

The successful candidate must be in a possession of a three year tertiary qualification in Public Management or equivalent qualification, enhanced by 5 years’ experience in facility management, of which 3 years should be at supervisory level.

The incumbent must be knowledgeable of the Public service environment and understanding of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and National Treasury Regulations. Relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings will be an added advantage. Furthermore, it is essential that the suitable candidate must be in possession of a valid unendorsed Code B driver’s licence and proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, Access and Excel.

The responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage and coordinate switchboard/frontline services;
  • Manage registry, postal, messenger and delivery services;
  • Administer income and expenditure of the Property Management Unit budget;
  • Manage cleaning services providers;
  • Manage maintenance of facilities in the Pretoria National Botanical Garden campus
  • Liaise with tenants on the campus
  • Manage the fleet vehicles
  • Management of staff

SANBI offers an annual salary of R356 289.00. In addition SANBI offers fringe benefits.
