The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) requires an efficient and enthusiastic person to provide support and professional advice to all SANBI Business Units with regard to issues pertaining to SCM Policies and Procedures; and to ensure effective & efficient procurement of goods and services within the 5 pillars of Procurement.

The successful candidate must be in possession of a three-year National Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management / Purchasing Management/ Logistics / Public Administration or Financial Management enhanced with a minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in the Supply Chain Management environment of which at least two (2) years’ must be at a supervisory level.

The candidate should demonstrate good communication and analytical skills, excellent interpersonal relations, communication skills, negotiation skills, organizational skills are a prerequisite. Knowledge of Law of Contract will be added advantage. Serve as the point of contact for customers on contractual matters. Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness. The candidate must be highly proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel and possess a valid Code B driver’s license and willing to travel.

  • Secretariat to the Bid Adjudication Committee
  • Demand and Contract Management
  • Travel Management
  • Supervision and Development of SCM subordinates

SANBI offers an all-inclusive annual salary package ranging from R370 655.00 to R518 916.00
