The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) requires an efficient and enthusiastic person to market the KwaZulu-Natal National Botanical Garden to public and stakeholders.

The role requires an individual with the following minimum requirements: A three (3) year Degree/National Diploma in Marketing and Communications or the equivalent • At least 2 - 5 years’ working experience in the field of Marketing/communications. The candidate must have extensive experience and knowledge in marketing, exhibitions, public relations and communications as well implementing marketing and communications strategies. • Computer literacy (MS Excel, MS Access, MS Power Point and MS Word) is essential • Presentation and report writing skills • Good communication skills (verbal and written) • Good interpersonal skills • Analytical and problem solving skills • Good leadership and management skills • Ability to function independently and work well as part of a team • A valid (unendorsed) Code B driver’s license plus one year’s driving experience.

  • Provide general Marketing support to KZN based biodiversity science project
  • Media and Communications
  • Public Relations
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Internal and External Communications
  • Brand Management
  • Managing the KZN National Botanical Garden exhibitions and Promotions
  • Events Management
  • Financial Management
  • Increasing Visitor Footfall.

SANBI offers an all-inclusive annual salary package ranging from R328 022.00 to R459 232.00
