SANBI is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly-motivated, dedicated, professional and responsible individual to provide efficient and effective support to the Office of the Chief Director: Human Resources.
This position requires a degree in Office Management/Public Administration/Human Resources Management or equivalent and relevant qualification at NQF 7. Postgraduate qualification or equivalent and relevant qualification at NQF 8 will be an added advantage. This position also requires 5 years’ relevant working experience.
The following competencies are required for the candidate to be successful in this position: comprehensive knowledge and understanding of office administration and office management principles and practices are essential; extensive experience and understanding of legislation, procedures, processes, and systems related to office administration and office management are essential; advanced planning, organizing, and problem solving skills; ability to work under pressure whilst being able to produce quality work outputs; excellent communication skills (both verbal and written); be able to demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality, sound interpersonal relations as well as a passion for working with a diverse team ; excellent computer literacy and experience in the application of software tools including (Ms Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet and Outlook) is very essential. The possession of a valid driver’s licence with at least one-year practical driving experience and a willingness to travel is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage the Office of the Chief Director: Human Resources;
- Manage finances, budget and track expenditure in the Office of the Chief Director: Human Resources;
- Liaise with Heads of Divisions and SANBI Top Management;
- Manage procurement and provide compliance support to the Office of the Chief Director: Human Resources
- Provide administrative support in all human resources matters to the Office of the Chief Director: Human Resources and its two Directorates.
