The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) is looking for self-motivated individual to ensure Groen Sebenza pioneers and employees are remunerated according to agreements and legislation, at correct amounts and on time; to ensure that employees’ benefits are implemented according to internal policies.
This position requires a grade 12 or equivalent qualification with NQF 4 with 5 years’ work experience in the relevant field, or National Diploma in Finance, Accounting or equivalent qualification with NQF 6 with 3 years’ experience in payroll and benefits administration. Advance Diploma, or equivalent qualification at NQF 7 will be an added advantage.
The following competencies are required for the candidates to be successful in this position: extensive experience in customer service and payroll packages (eg: VIP, PERSAL); advanced knowledge of Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, and Pension Fund legislation. Excellent computer literacy and experience in the application of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, MS Word. The possession of a valid driver’s license with at least one-year practical driving experience will be advantageous and a willingness to travel.
Key Performance Responsibilities include:
- Attend to payroll administration matters;
- Attend to remuneration and payroll administration matters;
- Execute and monitor payroll payments; and
- Analyse financial information.
